You have installed the software and customized the HTML pages. Now what do you do? Without links in your directory, you won't get much traffic. And without traffic, there won't be anyone to submit a listing. Typing in all that information for just one link will take forever. And if you download the links from DMOZ, your site will have the same links as possibly several hundred other sites. So, what is the alternative? Well, that is where AddLinks © addon software can help you. AddLinks © can help automate the process and at the same time help you create a link directory with. Designed to work initially with Nicecoder's INDEXU©, AddLinks © can be adapted for use with any links directory that has a links table with a links and category field. Listed below are some of the features of the AddLinks © addon software. ADD OPTION Spider a URL and let the software populate the ADD fields for you . All you may have to do is click the submit button. AddLinks © will attempt to find an email address for you. You can even tell AddLinks © what pages to spider for the information. It will return all email address that it finds and allow you to select the one you want from a dropdown list. If AddLinks © does not find an email address on any of the pages, you can set a default email address which will be entered automatically in the email field for you when the ADD page is displayed. AddLinks © will extract the page meta Title, if any, from the URL and enter it into the ADD page when it is displayed. If AddLinks © does not find a title on the main page, you can set a default title which will be entered automatically in the title field for you when the ADD page is displayed. AddLinks © will use the extracted page meta title, if any, and enter it into the description field of the ADD page when it is displayed. If AddLinks © does not find a title on the main page, you can set a default description which will be entered automatically in the description field for you when the ADD page is displayed. AddLinks © extract the page meta keywords, if any, from the URL and enter it into the ADD page when it is displayed. If AddLinks © does not find any keywords on the main page, you can set default keywords which will be entered automatically in the keywords field for you when the ADD page is displayed. AddLinks © will use the base part of the URL (e.g., indexuhelp.com) and enter it into the as the contact name field when the ADD page is displayed. AddLinks © will enter a randomly generated password into the password field when the ADD page is displayed. You can select the category for the link at the same time you enter the URL or enter/change it when the ADD page is displayed. You can configure AddLinks © to "remember" the category from one ADD record to another. You can optionally select to send an email to the link owner when the ADD display page is presented. You can set the default to yes or no for this feature but still change it at ADD display time. After you enter the new listing, you can configure AddLinks © to automatically go to return to adding another record or to to the EDIT screen instead (if you have purchased EditLinks) for further editing. MULTIPLE ADDs FROM A FILE OPTION Use AddLinks © to create a file of URLs which can then be run to add the links. Uses the same features to populate the ADD fields as the single add version. You can process this file of URLs all at one time or loop thru each one, one at a time. AddLinks will add the link and automatically present you with the next link to add. Easily create a file that will search a particular site. For example, create a search of Google using the keywords "car insurance." In less than 15 minutes you can create the URL file and return all the URLs from the first 100 pages of results (that will be almost 1,000 URLs) . You can AddLinks will also remove any duplicate URLs from the file. EDIT OPTION Display the search results as a grid spreadsheet or one record at a time. Results for either are paginated. Configure the number of listings per page.
